Camp Jeep 2005 - Pocono Mountains, PA
Day 2 - Saturday - 10:00 AM - Trail C
The second day of Camp saw us going on what was to be the easiest
trail that we were to attempt while at Camp. While not quite as intense
as Trail A it still provided for plenty of excitement. You'll notice in the
pictures below that we had a full 3 XJ's on this trail ride! Wow! 3!
One XJ didn't belong on this level of trail as they didn't have much of
a lift if any at all. Couple that with incomplete tow hooks, road friendly
AT tires, no lockers whatsoever and consequently there was a lot of
time spent coaxing his rig over the rocks. Ultimately his XJ paid the
price in dents and he did receive quite a few. So the trail was pretty
slow moving because of this.
Once again for myself a combination of finesse with the gas/brake
and occassional use of the front ARB air locker allowed me to go
through the trail relatively unscathed. The only thing I did do was get
a little to close to a tree on my driverside rear door and put a small
dent into it. Fortunately the Line-X masks its presence so it isn't a big
boneheaded manuever, but I did find myself making a Napoleon
Dynamite quote saying "You're such an Idiot!". DOH!
